How does AI handle client confidentiality at an RIA

By , founder of Quiet Machines

A properly implemented AI brain handles client confidentiality through three layers: data processing agreements with the underlying model provider that exclude training, encryption and access logging for every read and write, and a principle that no client PII ever touches a consumer-grade AI tool. Confidentiality is an implementation problem, not a tool problem.

Every implementation includes a written data architecture diagram showing exactly where each piece of client data flows. The principal signs off on it on Day 2 of the on-site build. If a connection isn't on the diagram, it doesn't exist.
